Michael works across the aisle to ensure that Americaâs veterans receive the care and services they deserve.Â
DENVER â â â Â Michael Bennet is releasing his 10th campaign ad of the general election today. The ad, titled âSean,â tells the story of a Colorado veteran who served in Iraq and later developed ALS due to his exposure to toxic burn pits. Thanks to Michaelâs work to help pass the Honor Our PACT Act, millions of veterans like Sean who were exposed to toxic burn pits will be able to access the health care they deserve.
Margaret, who tells her husbandâs story explained, âIt’s very important to me to honor my husband, and his wish for every veteran to receive the care they deserve. Senator Bennet shares this commitment. Iâm thankful for his support in passing the PACT Act that provides eligibility for medical benefits to 3.5 million veterans sickened by toxic exposure during their military service in the Gulf War, Post 9-11, and Vietnam War eras,â Margaret wrote. âAnyone can say they support veterans, but what matters is how they vote. We owe them our freedom. Never forget.”
Colorado is home to approximately 400,000 veterans. Thousands of Colorado veterans will benefit from the Honor Our PACT Act. Michael supported this legislation, even as Republicans in the Senate obstructed the bill for purely political reasons.Â
From passing the PACT Act to working to improve access to mental health care for Colorado veterans, to making sure veterans receive their GI Bill benefits, Michael has demonstrated his commitment to finding solutions to issues facing our veterans.
Michael is running for reelection to continue delivering for Colorado veterans, so we honor their invaluable service to our country.Â
