Two Colorado Latino advocacy organizations recently endorsed Michael Bennet’s campaign; recognizing his commitment to supporting Colorado’s Latino communities, and his work to bring relief to working families across the state.
DENVER – During his time in the U.S. Senate, Michael Bennet has demonstrated his commitment to supporting Colorado’s Latino communities. Michael’s record has earned him the endorsement of two Latino advocacy organizations in Colorado – Servicios Sigue and Voces Unidas Action Fund.
Voces Unidas Action Fund, a Latino advocacy group based out of Glenwood Springs that endorses political candidates who engage with Latino voters and are champions for the issues facing Colorado’s Latino voters, endorsed Michael’s campaign due to his advocacy for policies that support the values of Colorado’s latino community. “Senator Bennet has been an ally in the fight to protect reproductive rights, to pursue immigrant justice and to pull children out of poverty via his expanded federal Child Tax Credit,” explains Alex Sánchez, the CEO & President of Voces Unidas Action Fund.
Servicios Sigue, a local group focused on supporting the Latino community through culturally responsive, essential human services and opportunities, celebrated Michael’s work on the issues facing the Latino community. “Senator Bennet has been instrumental in securing mental and behavioral health investments for Latinos,” Servicios Sigue President Rudy Gonzales says about the group’s endorsement of Michael’s campaign. “Servicios Sigue is proud to have him as a strong partner in our work to serve our community.”
From his work on immigration reform as a member of the Gang of Eight, to his tireless fight to build an economy that works for everyone, Michael has a long history of fighting for Colorado’s Latino community. Michael is taking nothing for granted this cycle, and our campaign will continue to invest in outreach to Latino communities that will power us to victory in November.
