Michaelās strong record of delivering for Coloradoās veterans has earned him the support of veterans and veteran groups across the state.
DENVER ā Colorado is home to around 400,000 veterans, and as the stateās U.S. Senator, Michael has worked tirelessly to ensure that Coloradoās veterans are recognized for their service and can access the services they deserve. As a result of Michaelās work, veterans across Colorado are announcing their support for Michaelās reelection.
On Sunday, the JeffCo Dems Veterans Initiative held an event to celebrate the accomplishments of Congressman Ed Perlmutter and highlight the importance of electing Democrats this November. Michael spoke to the crowd and thanked supporters for their engagement and involvement in this election.
In his remarks to the crowd, Michael explained, āWe passed a really important bill called the PACT Act, which is the most significant expansion in veterans benefits in a generation. We just got that bill passed. I had to vote for it twice, because the Republicans voted for it the first time, then they voted against it the second time. And then the veterans all across America said, what part of this do you not understand? And we got 85 votes for a bill that finally does some important things to make sure that veterans that have been exposed to toxic burn pits from Vietnam to Afghanistan, now have benefits at the VA.ā
From passing the bipartisan PACT Act to working to improve access to mental health care for Colorado veterans, to making sure veterans receive their GI Bill benefits, Michael has demonstrated his commitment to finding solutions to issues facing our veterans.
āMichael recognizes that supporting our nationās veterans should be bipartisan, and has always been willing to work across the aisle to make progress,ā says Bennet for Colorado spokesperson Georgina Beven. āOur campaign is grateful to have the support of veterans across the state, and we look forward to re-electing Michael in November so he can continue his work fighting for Coloradoās veterans.āĀ
If re-elected this November, Michael will continue delivering for Coloradoās veterans, so that we honor their invaluable service to our country.
